What is the story behind The Henry Lee House?
Henry Lee came to Denver in the 1860’s. Like so many westward pioneers, Henry had very little with him. He accomplished so much in his lifetime, and notably became the father of the Denver Parks system! Henry is responsible for Denver’s most beautiful public places, including City Park and Sloan’s Lake. That hard work and imagination was also put to use building his own home. That home still stands today, and is now open for you to see yourself!

The house has 4,000 ft of indoor living space that includes 6 private bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, 2 living areas and a dining room. The large outdoor space has been landscaped to accommodate large parties and events. There is enough room for a 40X60 ft tent that can be open or closed, heated or not.
